Regina Gerber has played a key role in growing Riverty's AI team and shaping the company's technological direction.
When Riverty began accelerating its AI journey, Regina was already thinking one step ahead. Based in Verl, Germany, Regina joined three years ago through her Bertelsmann network, motivated by the chance to build something from the ground up. Today, as Senior AI Tech Consultant, she plays a key role in shaping Riverty’s technological direction while continuing to shape her own career.
Hi, I’m Regina
I’m a Senior AI Tech Consultant in Riverty’s AI Team. I joined Riverty from another Bertelsmann division because the role combined two things I was looking for: strategic relevance and the opportunity to actively shape a new setup.
I started as a Tech Innovation Consultant, then grew into a Senior role, and transitioned into the AI function as the topic gained momentum across the organization. Each step allowed me to deepen my expertise, not only in technology, but also in how to drive adoption and create impact in a complex environment.
Growing Through Curiosity
What excites me most about my role is its scope. I work across different topics, stakeholders, and departments, often at the interface between business and technology. That means constantly navigating new challenges, but also continuously learning.
Innovation plays a vital role in my daily work. I am constantly exploring emerging technologies and thinking about how we can use them to make our processes more future-ready and efficient. I truly believe that curiosity, in any dimension, is the vehicle for growth, both personally and professionally.
Looking back, my development was strongly influenced by people who trusted me with responsibility early on. Equally important were colleagues who advocated for me in moments I wasn’t present.
That kind of trust empowers you to step outside your comfort zone and take ownership of your development.
One piece of advice that stayed with me: Build your network and stay curious. Learning doesn’t stop.
Building Together, Learning Together
Collaboration is essential in AI. Many of the initiatives I’ve worked on required strong cross-functional alignment. I supported the piloting and rollout of GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT Enterprise, the latter in close collaboration with Bertelsmann. I also managed our former AI program and helped establish our AI team from the ground up.
Right now, I am responsible for building Riverty’s internal AI assistant (an initiative that brings together technical, product, and business perspectives). It is a great example of how openness and shared ambition create real momentum.
People who thrive here are team players who are supportive and open-minded. These qualities create an environment where new ideas are welcomed and diverse perspectives are valued.

My work directly contributes to Riverty’s AI strategy. Through my responsibilities, I feel that I actively shape both the technological and cultural journey of becoming an AI-ready and future-proof company. AI is not just about tools. It is about mindset. It is about enabling people to work smarter and focus on what truly creates value.
