A Culture of Care – Friendliness, Inclusion, and Wellbeing at Riverty

Walk into any Riverty office and you’ll notice it: leads and employees sharing ideas side by side, colleagues learning about unconscious bias and inclusive leadership, teams starting the day with energizers and genuine connection. It’s what many people hope to find in a company — a place where they feel welcome, respected, and supported as individuals.

At Riverty, care isn’t just a word; it’s part of everyday life. Practical, inclusive, and woven into how we work — from open communication to health and wellbeing programs, from inclusive policies to team-building activities. We believe a company thrives when people feel respected, connected, and supported.

Inclusive Workplace

At Riverty, inclusion is built into how we work — not something we only highlight on awareness days. We focus on the systems and behaviors that create long-term fairness and belonging. That’s why we continuously review our people practices, redesign job ads to remove biased language, and equip leaders to recognize and reduce bias in daily decisions.

As part of Bertelsmann’s partnership with Prout Employer, we receive the Prout Employer seal each year — a recognition of our commitment to creating a workplace that is open, respectful, and safe for everyone.

We know there’s more to do, but we’re committed to making inclusion and belonging something everyone at Riverty can genuinely see, feel, and experience — not just what we talk about, but how we work every day.

Pia,
DE&I and CR Expert

“DEI isn’t a series of events or a checklist. It’s in the structures we design, the assumptions we challenge, and the barriers we dismantle so that historically excluded voices have a real chance to be seen, heard, and valued. That’s the work we commit to every day.”

Employee Health and Wellbeing

Caring for people also means supporting their health and wellbeing. Across Riverty, colleagues benefit from flu vaccinations, preventive medical check-ups, gym discounts, online fitness courses, and wellbeing challenges.

In addition to these benefits, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers all employees professional and confidential support in any life situation — easily accessible and without barriers. Because it’s absolutely okay to ask for help. Our EAP reflects a culture where mental health is valued just as much as physical wellbeing.

Our offices follow the same mindset: creating spaces that encourage balance, make it easy to stay active throughout the day, and offer an environment where people can feel and perform at their best.

HR Business Partner Lead

“We care for your well-being — with health checks, fitness perks, and a culture where mental health matters just as much as physical.”

Team Building in Action

At Riverty, Agile Coaches support teams in many meaningful ways — strengthening team foundations, enabling new ways of working, and improving collaboration.

For dedicated team-building moments, they create space for reflection, connection, and growth — encouraging open communication, shared learning, and continuous improvement. These practices help teams build trust, openness, and the ability to work better together, both personally and professionally.

Caroline,
Team Enablement & Development Lead

“I will never forget this moment of trust coming to life — during a team-building exercise where everyone paired up, one blindfolded and the other guiding. Watching how team members supported each other with care and laughter was deeply inspiring. Moments like these spark real connection and build trust that lasts beyond the session itself.”

Open Communication

What makes this care truly meaningful isn’t only the policies — it’s the culture behind them. At Riverty, communication is open, direct, and free from unnecessary hierarchy. Leaders work closely with their teams, making it easy to share ideas, have valuable discussions, give feedback, address challenges, and connect on a human level.

Kirke,
Software Engineering Lead

“One thing that constantly amazes me is how many smart people our Tech Center has brought together — and that I get to work and learn alongside them. Even when working with colleagues who have 15+ years of experience, and with our leadership, I’ve always felt like an equal member of the team. The collaboration has always been great.”
